The Mountain Flora camouflage pattern is a specialized variant of the "Flora" camo developed for use by Russian military units operating in mountainous terrain.
It was specifically created for use by Spetsnaz and other specialized units that operate in these challenging environments, which includes the 34th Independent Motor Rifle (Mountain) Brigade.
almost all examples are government-ordered small productions and color variations have been documented possibly due to fabric being made by different manufacturers.

Washing & Care Instructions
-
Machine Wash in Cold Water:
- Use cold water to prevent the anti-IR treatment from breaking down. Avoid hot water.
-
Use Mild Detergent:
- Choose a mild, non-biological detergent that does not contain bleach, optical brighteners, or fabric softeners. These chemicals can degrade the anti-IR treatment.
-
Avoid Fabric Softeners and Bleach:
- Fabric softeners and bleach can destroy the anti-IR properties. Never use them.
-
Wash Inside Out:
- Turn the shirt inside out before washing to minimize abrasion and preserve the camo pattern and anti-IR treatment.
-
Gentle Cycle:
- Use a gentle or delicate cycle to reduce wear and tear.
Drying Instructions
-
Air Dry:
- The best method is to air dry the shirts. Hang them in a well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight. Sunlight can fade the colors and degrade the anti-IR treatment.
-
Avoid Tumble Drying:
- If you must use a dryer, use the lowest heat setting and remove the shirt promptly to avoid over-drying. However, air drying is preferable.
Additional Tips & Info
-
Ironing:
- If ironing is necessary, use a low heat setting and iron the shirt inside out. Avoid direct contact with the anti-IR-treated surface.
-
Storing:
- Store the shirts in a cool, dry place. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or extreme temperatures, as these can degrade the anti-IR treatment.
-
Spot Cleaning:
- For minor stains, spot clean with a damp cloth and mild detergent rather than subjecting the entire shirt to frequent washing.
-
Avoid Frequent Washing:
- Wash the shirts only when necessary to preserve the anti-IR treatment. Spot cleaning can help reduce the need for full washes.
-
No Dry Cleaning:
- Avoid dry cleaning as the chemicals used can damage the anti-IR treatment.
